Post Conference Practitioner's Institute

Recruiting and Retaining Women in the Construction Trades

Join us to learn and share best practices for recruiting and retaining women in the construction trades.  The institute will provide an opportunity for training program providers, employers, registered apprenticeship programs, contractors, workforce practitioners and other industry stakeholders to interface with peers from around the country and learn from a variety of successful program models.

Registration Information

Main Conference Registration

The main conference begins Friday with the Opening Reception, followed by Saturday and Sunday conference sessions. Conference registration is $125.00. Registration is limited, so please register soon.  

Practitioner's Institute - Recruiting and Retaining Women in the Building Trades - Monday Oct. 15th

The Practitioner's Institute will be held at the Hilton at Seatac Monday, October 15, 2018 from 9 - 3. This requires a separate registration and payment of $175.00. This will be the 5th Annual Practitioner's Institute held in conjunction with the Women Build Nations Conference. The Institute is intended for those seeking to build their capacity to recruit and retain women in the  industry. Registration must be complete by October 1, 2018.

Tradeswomen Policy Forum - Sunday, October 14th

The Tradeswomen Policy Forum,  presented by the Taskforce on Tradeswomen’s Issues, engages tradeswomen,  industry leaders and partners to discuss ways to increase women’s  retention in the skilled trades. This year’s Forum focuses on Tradeswomen and the #metoo movement.   Registration is $35.00, which covers lunch.  The forum will begin after the conference from 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm. Tradeswomen Taskforce Annual Meeting - Friday, Oct 12th - Registration Closed

The Taskforce unites the expertise of allies and tradeswomen to achieve  equity for women in the trades. Join the discussion on using our Policy  Platform to improve conditions for tradeswomen. All are welcome. The meeting will take place Friday from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm. For more information  about the Taskforce: http://www.tradeswomentaskforce.org  No charge, but please pre-register.
